The story of De Besi - Di Giacomo begins with the shared vision of its founders, Antonio De Besi and Doriano Di GiacomoAfter gaining valuable experience at Assicurazioni Generali towards the end of the 1950s, they decided to join forces, initially starting what was a company agency, which then evolved into a multi-agency firmTheir partnership and that of their families officially took life in 1959, marking the start of a path of growth and consolidation that, over the course of 65 years, has involved up to the third generation, ensuring their clients a choice of reliability and success.
With the establishment of theInsurance Mediators Register in 1986, the company formalized its activity as a broker. The 1980s marked a significant qualitative turn with the strengthening of the family business, which transformed into a public limited company (S.p.A.) and registered with the newly created Broker Register. De Besi – Di Giacomo became one of the first in Italy to obtain the license as a Lloyd’s of London Correspondent, a position it maintains as the longest-standing to this day. With the entry of the second generation into the company, it continues to thrive, and upon Antonio's death in 1998, Doriano firmly held the helm until 2006.
Antonio de Besi and Doriano Di Giacomo created alegacy of solidity and passion, transmitted through generations, which has allowed the company to operate in perfect harmony and share fundamental values with all long-term collaborators, building lasting relationships with clients and the insurance market. Currently, the company is led by the second generation, Alessandro De Besi e Andrea Di Giacomo, supported by their siblings, the third generation and trusted collaborators.
